Trial Lessons

Intensive Trial Lessons are available for all of our programs at €10 per half hour. Please read the descriptions of EC1, EC2 and EC3 carefully below, to make your choice of the example lesson you would like to take. During the lesson your coach will evaluate whether this would be a suitable program for you and will answer any questions you may have. You will receive a concise lesson report afterwards, which will include English Context™ promotional material.

EC1

Document Proofreading and Guidance

This program is for professionals and students who need to frequently prepare written work in English for business reports, business letters, presentations, meetings, business e-mails, articles or any other type of text or document. Students schedule lessons whenever they need guidance, corrections or proofreading. Students
e-mail their draft documents in advance or during their lessons to their teacher.

Teachers provide verbal feedback in real time during lessons. Students correct their work on recommendation by their teacher and lesson reports are sent to them with a summary of corrections, advice and examples. Students are expected to send their corrected texts back to the teacher for final feedback.  

Teachers can provide guidance on all aspects of English writing, including using the correct format and structure, using the best grammar, using correct sentence structures and word order, choosing the correct vocabulary, expressing ideas clearly and using diplomacy. This program is fully customized to student’s needs.

EC2

Interactive Discussions, Reading and Comprehension Focus

This program is for professionals and students who want to practice verbal interactive discussions to improve their oral English for professional and social contexts. Lessons are of an interactive nature, meaning that students are expected to do at least 50% of the talking. During lessons the focus remains on pronunciation, comprehension, using phrases and expressions and using the correct target vocabulary for the right contexts.

This program is perfect for students who want to become more fluent and confident in using their English practically, with less focus on grammar. Topics and contexts are chosen by students and can be of a business, social, general or topical nature. During lessons the internet is often browsed for news articles to read and discuss. Reports are sent after lessons with a summary of corrections, examples, exercises and resources for revision and self-study. Grammar focus can be included on request.

The English Context methodology ensures that all lessons are highly interesting, stimulating and challenging to students. This program is fully customized to student’s needs.

EC3

Interactive, Context Based, Role Play Simulations and Grammar Instruction

This advanced program is for professionals and students who require an adaptive learning system which focuses on their individual contexts and needs, incorporating all aspects of English Training. English Role Play simulations form the core of the program. Lessons are of an interactive nature, meaning that students are expected to do at least 50% of the speaking. Context based grammar instructions are incorporated and alternated with role play simulations.

Various business contexts such as Meetings, Presentations, Interviews, Telephoning, Conference Calls, Socializing for Business purposes or other topics will be integrated according to the student’s requirements. Alternatively, student specific social contexts will be integrated. Online resources are used extensively during this program and reports are sent after lessons with a summary of corrections, examples, grammar exercises and resources for revision, self-study and future lesson preparation.

The English Context methodology ensures that all lessons are highly interesting, stimulating and challenging to students. The full spectrum of English Grammar, Target Phrases, English Expressions and Vocabulary is covered in this program. On request, aspects of Program 1 and Program 2 can be incorporated into Program 3.
